To celebrate these heroes and heroines, Metro FM plans to recognise and reward teachers for their resilience during the pandemic and ingenuity in embracing new and safe ways to continue teaching under difficult circumstances. The station will call upon its listeners to nominate a teacher who has gone above and beyond their call of duty, the nominees will be shortlisted to 3 teachers who will each win a cash grand prize of R10 000 along with stationary packs for all the pupils in their classroom.
