Shasta Revised Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration June 2019 ii 1.0 INTRODUCTION 1.0 INTRODUCTION 1.1 INTRODUCTION AND REGULATORY GUIDANCE INITIAL STUDY This document is an Initial Study, with supporting environmental studies, which concludes that a Mitigated Negative Declaration is the appropriate California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) document for the Freeze Mini-Storage and Car Wash Project (project; proposed project). This Mitigated Negative Declaration has been prepared in accordance with CEQA, Public Resources Code Section 21000 et seq., and the CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations Section 15000 et seq. An initial study is conducted by a lead agency to determine whether a project may have a significant effect on the environment.
