Chicago style golf format rewards competitors for great play on individual holes and not just for their total scores in a round. (if ball can or can not be rolled-over) • Limit your search for lost balls to no more than 3 minutes. When a ball is lost hit your shot first and then help look for your partner’s lost ball. • Park your cart on the side nearest the next tee • On the green, begin reading and lining up your putt so that you are prepared when it is your turn. A player may continue putting until she holes out. • Write down your score when you reach the next tee • Use the 8 stroke rule. If you have taken 8 strokes and you’re not on the green, pick up your golf ball and place it on the front of the green. Pick up after a total of 10.
