Matters from Race 13: Deputy Race Director Incident Determinations Following a request from Motorsport Holdings Pty Ltd, the DRD conducted an investigation into an allegation that the Driver of Car #21, Macauley Jones, had made contact to Car #78, Simona De Silvestro, at Turn 7 on Lap1. After reviewing the Judicial Camera footage from Cars #19, #23, #35 and #78, the Hawk Eye footage, and advice from the Driving Standards Advisor, neither Driver was found to be wholly or predominately to blame for the incident. The DRD determined the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards. Fabian Coulthard Car #12 – 15 seconds, contact to Car #17 Scott McLaughlin at Turn 5 on Lap 1, causing Car #17 to leave the track. Lee Holdsworth Car #5 – 15 seconds, contact to Car #99 Anton de Pasquale at Turn 10 on Lap 22, causing Car #99 to spin and lose positions David Reynolds Car #9 - 5 seconds, contact to Car #22 James Courtney at Turn 4 on Lap 2, gaining a position Following a Post-Race investigation by the DRD and after an admission by the Driver of Car #5, Lee Holdsworth, the Stewards imposed a 15 second Post-Race Time Penalty on Car #5 for a breach of Article 2.1 of Schedule B2 (Careless Driving) for contact with Car #3, Garry Jacobson, at Turn 12 on Lap 13 as a result of which Car #3 was pushed off the Race Track surface and lost positions.
