I suppose that you and I will eventually meet You are the soul and life of me And perhaps without even noticing My tears flow in you, mama Perhaps it will happen without rush and without wind You taught me and suffered for me In some place from yesterday You are your own shadow, the light of my eyes I feel that you and I will meet and it might be strange Sweet mother With the hope, without rush and without voice, Beloved mother Without any footsteps to follow Only you, light of my eyes All song, all words, come and dance How much you toiled and thought of me With the sound the wind makes I miss your shadow, the light of my eyes When approaching your mouth and your skin Hey mama, light of my eyes Look at me for an instant You left, and left me Touch this silence that is ending Hey, mama And embrace the air turning into sky How did you leave me without Inside your breath and my thirst And I will die of worries day and night It is the air that becomes the sky into my thirst It is me that you cried about I suppose that you and I will eventually meet, My entire life I will not forget you, my beloved We might not even notice Where are you mother? Maybe it will happen quickly Where were you my beloved? And with wind in some new place I am an orphan from the day you left I feel that you and I will meet and it might be strange The enemies cheated me With the hope, without rush, without voice, Only God will comfort me With dreams to begin All song, all words, come and dance With the sound the wind makes When approaching your mouth and your skin Look at me for an instant Touch this silence that is ending And embrace the air turning into sky Inside your breath and my thirst It is the air that becomes the sky into my thirst 8 9 Hinach Yafah (Thou Art Beautiful) ABOUT THE ARTISTS Upon my bed, night after night, I sought him who my soul loveth, I sought him but I found him not The Idan Raichel Project burst onto the global music I went about these city streets all filled with lies to look for him, scene in 2003, changing the face of Israeli popular I sought him but I found him not music and offering “a fascinating window into the The watchmen that surround the city found me but young, tolerant, multi-ethnic Israel taking shape away my love he was so hard to find from the headlines” (Boston Globe).
