Oct. 23, 2019 For Immediate Release Raiders Sign DE Kasim Edebali ALAMEDA, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders have signed DE Kasim Edebali, the club announced Wednesday. Edebali, a 6-foot-2, 253-pound defensive end, joins the Raiders for his sixth year in the NFL after entering the league in 2014 as an undrafted free agent and spending his first three seasons (2014-16) with the New Orleans Saints. Edebali would go on to spend the 2017 campaign with the Denver Broncos and Detroit Lions and most recently appeared in action with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2018. Over his career, Edebali has appeared in 62 contests and made two starts, logging 49 tackles (36 solo), eight sacks, three passes defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. A native of Hamburg, Germany, Edebali has appeared in 16 contests in three different campaigns and set a single- season career high of five sacks in 2016 with the Saints. Edebali played his collegiate ball at Boston College, appearing in 49 contests and totaling 166 tackles (88). 11 sacks, 15 passes defensed, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. Additionally, the Raiders have signed OL Kyle Kalis to the team’s practice squad. Kalis is a 6-foot-4, 306-pound offensive lineman that entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins in 2017. He appeared in three games for the Indianapolis Colts that season after being claimed by the club from the Redskins. Last season, the former Michigan Wolverine appeared in four games with the Cleveland Browns. .
