DETAILS REGARDING THE COURT OF JUDICIAL FIRST CLASS MAGISTRATE-1 TIRUR FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION UNDER SECTION 4 (1)(b) OF RIGHT TO INFORMATION ACT 2005 1.Court name Organization function and duties *Court of the Judicial First Class Magistrate-1, Tirur, is constituted as per chapter II section 6 (ii) of Criminal code of procedure. Situates in the court complex at Tirur town, 50 Metres south to Tirur railway station and 1 ¼ Kms. west to the Municipal Bus stand . *This court presides over by the Judicial First Class Magistrate-1 *This court may pass sentence of imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years or of fine not exceeding ten thousand rupees or both, in criminal cases of which place of occurrence falls within the limits of Tirur, Kalpakanchery, Valanchery, Kuttippuram and Kadampuzha police stations. 2.The Powers and duties of employees The powers and duties of the officer is as prescribed in the Code of Criminal Procedure and other relevant acts and rules and that of employees of this court are as prescribed in the Office Order. 3.The procedure followed in the decision making process including channels of supervision and accountability *Judicial First Class Magistrate is the decision making authority of this court All the judicial petitions are being filed directly before the Magistrate in the open court for taking decisions *Reports filed by the police including First Information Reports and Final Reports, complaints filed by local bodies and all other tapal which receive in the office will put up before the Magistrate, after a preliminary verification by the CMO. The Magistrate will pass appropriate orders on them and will be handed over to the relevant section clerk through the Distribution Register for execution of the orders 4.The norms set by the court for the discharge of its function The functions of this court are discharged in accordance with the various rules and regulations constituted for the purpose.
