As such, it is one of the most important and visible representations of WIC to the outside community. The uniform is a symbol of our students and their remarkable achievements and contributions to the school. When wearing the uniform, students display their connection, bond, and commitment to the College’s Vision, Mission, and Values, and to the College’s motto; Let Us Pursue Excellence. While wearing a uniform inside or outside school, our students Top Marks are school ambassadors, and it is expected that students wear their school uniform with care, pride, and respect. All components of the uniform, with the exception of ties, belts, socks, and shoes, must be purchased from WIC’s uniform We ask for parent support in ensuring that your children are wearing the supplier, Top Marks. uniform properly. Appropriate attire would include sleeves, covered backs, chests, and abdomens (no crop-tops), and no offensive slogans. No hats may be worn inside the school. 7 Footwear Acceptable Footwear • Shoes must be solid black with a black sole • No visible large logos or emblems • Heel must be less than 1 inch • No Birkenstocks, sandals, Doc Martins, or boot-style footwear Unacceptable Footwear 8 Wearing the WIC Uniform • Wear your uniform with care, pride, and respect • Ensure your uniform fits properly and is in clean, good condition • Uniforms must be worn at non-athletic school events, on or off campus (e.g., science fair and challenge, debate tournaments, field trips, etc.) • Skirts and skorts are to be worn no shorter than 8 cm above the knee • Modesty shorts must be worn under all skirts 9.
