Diagnostic Notes **Adult** Forewing greyish brown; postmedian and antemedian fasciae darker brown, often indistinct; discal spot faint; terminal line whitish. Hindwing white; veins, terminal line and cilia greyish brown. Head, thorax and abdomen greyish brown; antennae simple, filiform. **Egg** Oval with slight projection at one end; surface with strong, regular, star-shaped sculpturing; greyish white, becoming pinkish. Up to 350 ova, scattered irregularly over the foodstuff **Larva** Head reddish brown with two dark brown patches on either side; body pink or yellowish white; peritreme of spiracles yellowish brown; setae yellowish brown, on distinct yellowish or reddish brown pinacula; prothoracic and anal plates and parts of thoracic legs yellowish or reddish brown. **Pupa** Yellowish brown or reddish brown; spiracles slightly raised; cremaster rounded, with eight fine, hooked setae. **References** - Carter, D.J.
