The majority of the property is on gravely soil and he has used this to his advantage making medium-bodied wines of character. Excellent wines from this underrated region. Château Lestevénie - Bergerac Humphrey Temperley purchased this property in the Saussignac region of Bergerac about 2 years ago. The property was already making good reds and Dessert wines but he has moved things along, creating an award winning Rose and a delicious crisp white. These show good this region can be at reasonable prices. Aujoux- South East France This organisation is an umbrella group for a number of producers in Languedoc and Burgundy. They market the wines as a whole in the UK and we have selected their excellent varietal range as well as a couple of Domaine bottled wines from Minervois and St Chinian, which we think show the style of each region well, as well as being a great drink. Montagnac - Beziers - Languedoc We are very pleased to have found this exemplary producer in the Languedoc who produces wines that show their varietal character to perfection. If you are looking for benchmark examples of each of the varieties they offer, look no further. Great value. Les Terres Rares - Tarn The largest producer in the Tarn region making a range of wines from indigenous and international varieties. Well made and well priced Vignerons D’Estandon - Côteaux de Varois This co-operative has 19 wineries spread throughout Provence and are perfectly placed to make traditional yet affordable Provençal wines. This Rosé is in the classic tradition of the region. 6 French Regional Wines Château Lastours - Lisle sur Tarn - Gaillac ABV% Btl FCW07 Les Gravieres de Château Lastours Blanc 12.5 7.12 Full flavoured with good depth, this Sauvignon-Semillon blend is dry and well made. FCR07 Château Lastours Rouge 12.5 7.32 Super smooth, brambly fruit with crunchy Malbec undernotes. Dry and medium bodied on the finish.
