introduces the indicators of your gateway. Indicator POWER If it is steady on, the gateway is switched on. If it is blinking, the device is self-testing. EVDO If it is on, the PPP connection has been created. If it is blinking, data is transmitting. WLAN If it is steady on, the WLAN is available. If it is blinking, data is transmitting. Ethernet(1,2,3,4) If it is steady on, the connection is successful. If it is blinking, data is transmitting. Signal strength Ÿ 5 network signal indicators. Ÿ The more the indicators that is on, the better the signal strength.. 1 Interfaces and Button Ÿ Power Switch: Push it left to power on the gateway and right to power off the gateway. Ÿ Reset: Press and hold it to restore the factory defaults. Ÿ Power Hole: Insert the power adapter. Ÿ Ethernet interface: Insert an Ethernet cable connected to the PC or other network equipments. 2 2 Using the Gateway Configuration Page Logging in to the Management Page 1. Start the IE browser, and then enter the address http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. 2. Select User Type, enter Password, and then click . Ÿ Admin: Has the rights to view and modify the configurations. The default password is admin; Ÿ User: Has the right to view only the basic information. The default password is user. & Note: To avoid the configuration conflict, only one user can log in to the gateway management page at a time. 3 Describing the Management Page Ÿ Operation Navigation Area: Shows the main functions of the management console. Ÿ User Operation Area: Shows configuration information, data information, help information, and function operation area of the gateway. The user operation window varies with different function operations. Ÿ Status Display Area: Shows the network mode, PPP dial-up status, network signal strength, and UIM card status in real-time.
