No need to stamp the tickets • Ticket covers all available public transportation in Hamburg (train, bus, ferries) • Price zones: you usually will stay in Zone A+B Transportation Guide (PDF) • Harbour ferries are an alternative to sightseeing boat and are part of the public transport system. • We recommend buying all day tickets or a complete week card. • Tickets may be purchased from bus driver or ticket vending machines • Single trip ticket: 3,40 € • All day ticket: 7,90 € • Group ticket (up to 5 persons from 9:00 AM): 12,40 € • Single Card for complete week: 29,20 € • All cards may be purchased only via HVV app or HVV service desk • Complete week card can not be purchased from bus driver nor ticket machine How to get around in Hamburg • Taxis • There are plenty of Taxi stations in main areas waiting for you • Taxi will cost about 60 € - 70 € from Airport to Hotel Lindtner, or 30 € to 50 € to downtown Hamburg. • Taximeter will be in every Taxi. You don’t need to negotiate. • In morning and late afternoon taxis are not faster than public transport • Bicycle • Bicycles are a great opportunity to discover downtown Hamburg. Rental stations can be found at the main points of interest. • Cycling from the hotel to downtown Hamburg will take you through some interesting parts of Hamburg. The distance will be at least 10 miles, you will need good directions. • Walking • Walking recommended in the city center and main harbour area. • You may explore the neighborhood surrounding the hotel. It helps us to predict the amount of people for the organization. • Prices shown for the events are divided between: • price to be paid at time of registration • cost (e.g. food & beverage) or admission to be paid on you own Saturday Afternoon - Lüneburger Heide Lüneburg Heath (German: Lüneburger Heide) is a large area of heath (similar to heather), geest (unique landscape), and woodland in the northeastern part of the state of Lower Saxony in northern Germany. It forms part of the hinterland for the cities of Hamburg, Hanover and Bremen and is named after the town of Lüneburg. Most of the area is a nature reserve. IMMH, International Maritime Museum) is a private <a href="/goto?url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museum" target="_blank">museum </a>in the <a href="/goto?url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HafenCity" target="_blank">HafenCity </a>quarter of <a href="/goto?url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamburg" target="_blank">Hamburg</a>, <a href="/goto?url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany" target="_blank">Germany</a>. Monday - Downtown Hamburg • Hamburg has huge amount of activities and attractions in the city centre and harbour area • Tour A will be a combination of shopping and Alster river tour. The shopping area is next to the Alster river • Tour B you will visit places as you want. The host committee has made some reasonable suggestions for places to visit • Please check next pages Monday - Tour A - Shopping & Alster Hamburg Shopping Mall: Europa Passage Europa Passage is a large <a href="/goto?url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shopping_mall" target="_blank">shopping mall </a>in the <a href="/goto?url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altstadt,_Hamburg" target="_blank">Altstadt </a>quarter of <a href="/goto?url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamburg" target="_blank">Hamburg</a>, Germany, located between the streets of <a href="/goto?url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballindamm" target="_blank">Ballindamm</a>/<a href="/goto?url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jungfernstieg" target="_blank">Jungfernstieg </a>and <a href="/goto?url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M%C3%B6nckebergstra%C3%9Fe" target="_blank">Mönckebergstraße </a>near the lake of <a href="/goto?url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Binnenalster" target="_blank">Binnenalster</a>. Monday - Tour B - City of Warehouses The Warehouse A real adventure tour via public transport into the heart of the Harbour. From here multiple museums can be reached. Take the harbour ferry and get on and off any pontoon of interest, or go for a complete ferry cycle through the harbour. • Tour provided: • Visit of the world largest miniature wonderland, a must for everybody visiting Hamburg • Visit of <a href="/goto?url=https://chocoversum.de/en/" target="_blank">Chocoversum </a>(chocolate museum) – as far as we know you will like it ☺ • However, in the area of Tour B there are plenty of other possiblites to visit museums and attractions. Tuesday - Visit Lübeck UNESCO World Heritage Site Lübeck, the leading city of the former Hanseatic League, famous for its extensive Brick Gothic architecture, it is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The old part of the city is on an island enclosed by the River Trave. Wednesday - Historical City Stade Historical City Stade (German pronunciation: [ˈʃtaːdə]) Officially the Hanseatic City of Stade (German: Hansestadt Stade, Low German: Hansestadt Stood) is a city in Lower Saxony in northern Germany. First mentioned in records in 934, it is the seat of the district (Landkreis) which bears its name.
