Racing boats with 15 to 25 rowers line up to a colourful start to compete under various categories for the Mahatma Gandhi Trophy. Started in 1973, the Uttara Malabar Boat Race was the only one of its kind in North Malabar until recently. The event is organized jointly by the a local committee comprising of Nileshwaram Municipality and Cheruvathur Panchayat. Local Over 15,000 RELEVANCE- NO.
