All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth 1. All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth My two front teeth, my two front teeth! Gee, if I could only have my two front teeth, Then I could wish you “Merry Christmas!” It seems so long since I could say, “Sister Susie sitting on a thistle!” Gosh oh gee, how happy I’d be, If I could only whistle (thhhhhh). 2. All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth My two front teeth, my two front teeth! Gee, if I could only have my two front teeth, Then I could wish you “Merry Christmas!” 2. Angels We Have Heard on High 1. Angels we have heard on high Sweetly singing o’re the pains, And the mountains in repy Echoing their joyous strains. Glo-ria in excelsis Deo, Glo-ria in excelsis Deo. 2. Shepherds, why this jubilee? Why your joyous strains prolong? What the gladsome tidings be? Which inspire your heavenly song? Glo-ria in excelsis Deo, Glo-ria in excelsis Deo. 3. Auld Lang Syne Should old acquaintance be forgot, And never bought to mind? Should auld acquaintance be forgot,’ And days of old lang syne? For old lang syne, my dear, for old lang syne, We’ll take a cup of kindness yet, for old lang syne. The Siskiyou School: Holiday Songbook Page 1 2nd Edition, 2020 4. Away in a Manger 1. Away in the manger, no crib for a bed, The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head. The stars in the sky looked down where he lay, The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay. 2. The cattle are lowing, the baby awakes, But little Lord Jesus no crying he makes. I love thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky, And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh. 3. Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask thee to stay, Close by me forever and love me I pray. Bless all the dear children in thy tender care, And take me to heaven to live with tee there. 5. Blue Christmas 1. I’ll have a blue Christmas without you ’ll be blue thinking about you. Decorations of red On a green Christmas tree Won’t mean a thing If you’re not here with me. 2. I’ll have a blue Christmas, that’s certain. And when that blue heartache starts hurtin’, You’ll be doin’ all right, With your Christmas of white. But I’ll have a blue, blue Christmas. The Siskiyou School: Holiday Songbook Page 2 2nd Edition, 2020 6. Carol of the Animals 1. Jesus, our brother strong and good Was humbly born in a stable rude The friendly beasts around him stood Jesus, our brother strong and good. 2. I, said the donkey, shaggy and brown I carried his mother uphill and down I carried her safely to Bethlehem town I, said the donkey shaggy and brown. 3. I, said the cow all white and red I gave him my manager for his bed I gave him my hay to pillow his head I, said the cow all white and red. 4. I, said the sheep with the curly horn I gave him my wool for a blanket warm He wore my coat on Christmas morn I, said the sheep with the curly horn. 5. I, said the camel, yellow and black Over the desert upon my back I brought him a gift on the wise man’s pack I, sad he camel, yellow and black. 6. I, said the dove from the rafters high I cooe him to sleep that he should not cry We cooed him to sleep, my mate and I I, said the dove from the rafters high. 7. So every beast by some good spell In the stable dark was glad to tell Of the gift he gave Emmanuel The gift he gave Emmanuel. The Siskiyou School: Holiday Songbook Page 3 2nd Edition, 2020 7. Carol of the Bells Hark! How the bells, sweet silver bells, all seem to say, throw cares away. Christmas is here, bringing good cheer, to young and old, meek and the bold. Ding, ding, ding, dong! That is their song, with joyful ring, all caroling One seems to hear, words of good cheer, from everywhere, filling the air. Oh, how they pound, raising the sound! O’er hill and dale, telling their tale. Gaily they ring, while people sing, songs of good cheer, Christmas is here! Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas! Merry, merry, merry, merry Christmas! On, on they send, on without end, their joyful tone, to ev’ry home. Ding------------ding dong ding dong! 8. Christmas Song Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Jack Frost nipping at your nose, Yuletide carols being sung by a choir, and folks dressed up like Eskimos. Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe, Help to make the season bright. Tiny tots with their eyes all a-glow, will find it hard to sleep tonight. They know that Santa’s on his way, He’s loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh. And every mother’s child is gonna spy, To see if reindeer really know how to fly. And so I’m offering this simple phrase, to kids from one to ninety-two. Although it’s been said many times, many ways, “Merry Christmas to you”! 9. Deck the Halls 1. Deck the halls with boughs of holly, fa la la la la, la la la la ‘Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la, la la la la. Don we now our gay apparel, fa la la la la, la la la la. 2. See the blazing yule before us, fa la la la la, la la la la Strike the harp and join the chorus, fa la la la la, la la la la. Follow me in merry measure, fa la la la la, la la la la While I tell of yuletide treasure, fa la la la la, la la la la. 3. Fast away the old year passes, fa la la la la, la la la la Hail the new, ye lads and lasses, fa la la la la, la la la la. Sing we joyous all together, fa la la la la, la la la la Heedless of the wind and weather, fa la la la la, la la la la. The Siskiyou School: Holiday Songbook Page 4 2nd Edition, 2020 10.
