(Coleoptera) Newly Recorded from Niijima and Shikine-Jima Islands, the Izu Islands, Japan

Elytra, Tokyo, New Series, 3 (1): 183–184 September 15, 2013 Weevils from Niijima and Shikine-jima Islands 183 Curculionid Beetles (Coleoptera) Newly Recorded from Niijima and Shikine-jima Islands, the Izu Islands, Japan Hiroaki KOJIMA and Chennan ZHANG Laboratory of Entomology, Tokyo University of Agriculture, 1737 Funako, Atsugi, Kanagawa, 243–0034 Japan Weevil fauna of Niijima and Shikine-jima Islands has been recorded by MORIMOTO (1981), MORIMOTO & MIYAKAWA (1985), HIRANO et al., (1993), MORIMOTO et al., (2006) and YOSHITAKE (2012), and a total of 65 and 27 species in five and two families are known, respectively. In the recent short survey, following species were newly found from the respective island and are recorded below. Collector names are abbreviated as follows: CZ: Chennan ZHANG; HF: Hiroshi FUJITA; HK: Hiroaki KOJIMA and KT: Kentarô TSUJII. The authors thank Messrs. H. FUJITA and K.
