No. 140705035 iv UNIVERSITAS SUMATERA UTARA ABSTRACT This research was conducted to find out the result of analyzing address term in Moonlight Movie Script written by Barry Jenkins. In this research, the writer uses qualitative research that primarily exploratory research. It is used to gain an understanding of underlying reasons, opinions, and motivations. There are thirty dialogs that represent all the dialogs inside the movie script that represent all the address term. So, the chosen dialogs analized by put them in the table and devided into each part of kind of address term and the social factors that influenced the address term itself. From this research, the writer concludes some findings: It can be found that they are some types of address terms in the script text movie, they are: Using intimacy, using mockery, using respect, using kinship, and using name. And for the social factor, it can be found that they are some social factors which influence the script text movie, they are: Transactional status, race, age, degree of intimacy, family relationship, gender, particular occasion, and social status. Keywords: Address Terms, Moonlight movie, Script Movie, Sociolinguistic, Sociolinguistic analysis. v UNIVERSITAS SUMATERA UTARA ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk menemukan hasil analisis Address Terms dari naskah film Moonlight yang ditulis oleh Barry Jenkins. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan penelitian kualitatif yang pada dasarnya adalah penelitian berbasis eksplorasi. Penelitian ini digunakan untuk mendapatkan pemahaman tentang alas an, pendapat, dan motivasi yang mendasarinya. Terdapat tiga puluh dialog yang mewakili semua dialog yang terdapat didalam naskah film yang mewakili Address Term yang ada didalam naskah itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu, dialog yang dipilih dianalisis dengan meletakkan dialog tersebut dalam tabel dan membagi mereka kedalam masing-masing bagian berdasarkan jenis Address Term dan faktor sosial yang mempengaruhi Address Term itu sendiri. Dari penelitian ini, penulis menyimpulkan beberapa temuan. Dapat ditemukan bahwa terdapat beberapa jenis Address Term didalam teks naskah film, yaitu: Penggunaan Intimacy (keakraban), mockery (ejekan), respect (menghormati), kinship (kekerabatan), dan penggunaan nama. Dan untuk faktor sosial, ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi teks naskah film, yaitu: Status transaksional, ras, usia, tingkat keakraban, hubungan keluarga,jenis kelamin, acara tertentu, dan status sosial.
