Cell: 610-937-2502 • Providence opened up the 2016-17 season at Schneider Arena with a two-game Website: Friars.com non conference series with the Robert Morris Colonials. • The Friars fell in both games by a score of 3-2. • On Oct. 8, Cassidy MacPherson scored her first goal of the season as well as her first short-handed tally. • Brooke Boquist scored her first goal of the season and was assisted by Madison Sansone and Arianna Reid. • The Friars outshot the Colonials in both games, 32-21 (Oct. 1) and 32-19 (Oct. 2). • Emily Landry scored her first collegiate goal and Whitney Dove notched her first collegiate point, assisting on the Ladry goal. • Nine different Friars have tallied at least one point in their three games of the 2015-16 season. • Cassidy Carels has recorded four points in three games, registering at least one point in each game of the 2015-16 season. • Madison Myers has played 178:11 minutes in net, recording a .861 save percentage and a 3.37 goals against average. SCOUTING THE TIGERS... • The Tigers open their first home series with an 0-2-0 record after playing two games at Minnesota State-Mankato. • The Tigers were defeated in both games, 2-1. The Tigers were defeated in ovetime (Sept. 30) and in regulation on Oct. 1. • Both Tiger goals were scored by Senior F/D Caitlin Wallace. • Terra Lanteigne played in net in both games, amassing 65 saves on 69 shots and recorded a a save percentage of .942 and goals against average of 1.95. THE FRIARS IN HOCKEY EAST IN THE 2015-16 SEASON... • Two Friars earned Hockey East weekly awards during the season. Madison Sansone earned Player of the Week acco- lades (Nov. 19) and Christina Putigna earned Rookie of the Week twice (Nov. 23 and Nov. 30). • Putigna also earned Rookie of the Month honors for the month of November and was eventually named to the Hock- ey East All-Rookie Team, the first Friar to do so since senior Cassidy Carels. • Eight returning Friars earned Hockey East Top Performer honors: Carels, Alanna Serviss, Brooke Boquist, Blair Parent, Sansone, Kate Friesen, Madison Myers, and Putigna.
