Our goal is to combine our elite baseball program with high quality academic guidance and tutoring. Academy students will utilize either a public, NCAA-approved online school, or a homeschool program. These options allow students to complete rigorous coursework while using their time efficiently, providing the flexiblity needed to also participate in high level baseball training and competition. Students will spend time in a classroom every day, working on course work in the presence of an academic tutor. We will support students and their families in academic pursuits by offering guidance on course selection, tutoring for areas where a student is struggling, and requiring accountability in all aspects of the student’s education. ACADEMIC OPTIONS Virtual Public School > For rising Seniors, you can likely work with your existing high school to complete your courses online. > For rising Juniors and below, NC Connections Academy is an online, NCAA-approved public school that is open to students across North Carolina. What steps do I need to take? 1. Meet with your current guidance counselor, and request a copy of your unofficial transcript, and a list of your remaining courses. If you are a rising Senior, also speak with your counselor about completing your remaining courses online. 2. For rising Juniors and below, apply to NC Connections Academy using the process found at this page: http://www.connectionsacademy.com/north-carolina-virtual-school/enrollment *Please go ahead and submit all of the required documentation listed on that page. **You will likely be placed on the waitlist at first, and will be notified when space opens. Homeschool If for any reason the Virtual Public School option does not work out for your student, the next best option is to enroll as a homeschooler. We understand that for many families, homeschooling is a foreign concept. There are plenty of resources available to make the process very manageable for the family, and beneficial for the student’s education. PRO5 Strength Program Strength Training We take a holistic approach to baseball development using explosive movements under varied loads that neurologically and physiologically emulate the demands of the game. Strength training lays the ground work for all athletic development. Movement Quality Our strength professionals have a high understanding of movement quality. An athlete’s movement inconsistencies are often overlooked in training. By focusing on movement limitations, we develop a more efficient movement pattern through a proper program and progression for each individual athlete. Data Tracking We track our athletes in many areas throughout the year. Our system collects data points on explosive jumps, core lifts, body weight, and agility numbers. This data ensures that our program is taking them in the proper direction for advanced development. PRO5 Recruiting Program High Success Rate Inside Recruit is one of the most respected baseball recruiting programs in the country. The percentage of our players that continue on to college baseball is very high due to our ability to evaluate accurately and our network of baseball connections. Personalized Guidance Each player has an Initial Meeting to discuss their personal recruiting process following the evaluation process. Inside Recruit explains to the player and family how the recruiting timeline works and where the player currently stands. The continued personal guidance as the player progresses is how Inside Recruit separates itself from other services. Comprehensive Program Inside Recruit provides players with their own personal Recruiting Profile. Our website allows for easy uploading of videos, evaluations, references, key measurements, statistics and much more. There are three words that describe our approach: Integration, Intentional & Inspection: A focus on character and leadership will be Integrated into everything we do.
