This year’s meeting — focused on innovations in Medicaid in this era of change and health reform — features many nationally recognized speakers who will share with us their expertise in health care and politics. This year’s conference sets the tone for the new frontier in Medicaid managed care. We are proud to present such nationally well-known speakers, including John Gorman, President and CEO of the Gorman Health Group, and traditionally one of our most popular speakers annually; David Plouffe, the campaign manager for President Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, and in the President’s own words, the “unsung hero” of the campaign; Mark Shields, a nationally known columnist and commentator; nationally-known Medicaid expert Vernon Smith, a principal of Health Management Associates; former HHS Secretary and Governor Tommy Thompson; and former U.S. Congresswoman Heather Wilson, who served as a Congressional leader on Medicaid issues. We hope you enjoy your time with your peers, learn about innovations in the industry, and enjoy the conference! We thank you for being a part of our continued growth and success. Thomas L.
