
<p> Forest Service Requirements for Campers</p><p>Campers must have a shovel, axe and a bucket with them in case of wildfires. </p><p>You are required to check with the Forest Ranger to see if a campfire is permitted before you camp.</p><p>Check with Rangers to see what current bear activity is. Also check for wildcat activity.</p><p>Don’t feed the wild animals, keep your distance from them.</p><p>Keep children close and supervised at all times. Children make great snacks for bears and other wildlife.</p><p>During high fire danger smoking may only be permitted in your vehicle. Regardless, please remain diligent and careful with fire! If you are responsible for starting a forest fire, Montana law requires that you pay the costs of putting it out. That could cost you millions!</p>
