Revise Richard Tunney’s lecture on “Reasoning about probabilities”, supplemented by reading of relevant text book chapter and, if appropriate, additional selected papers (Richard Tunney suggested: Sedlmeier & Gigerenzer (2001). Teaching Bayesian reasoning in less than two hours. JEP:G, 130, 380- 400). 2. Try to understand Bayes’ theorem. 3. Consider the following questions: Is people’s reasoning about probabilities consistent with Bayes’ Theorem (consider examples)? Why not (what explanations have been proposed)? 5.
