Note the language used and the very specific areas the question covers. Each criterion is based around a main theme (i.e. ‘communication’) that is an important core skill required for this role.  For each criterion, delve into your career history (not too far back, preferably) and come up with an example that demonstrates the particular skill/experience that you are being asked for.  Try to use examples that are complete and that had a conclusion. (i.e. something that went from start to finish with a definable result.)  Outline what contribution you will make to our organisation based on these skills.  Please make your answer succinct - no more than half a page in length. KSC 1: Relevant Experience  Practical experience relevant to the position.  An understanding and experience of the operations within the team and their relationship to other operations of Council.  Knowledge and experience in venue and events management, policy development, programming and dealing with a large variety of stakeholders. Comments from applicant:</p><p>KSC 2: Communication Skills  Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.  Ability to build rapport and liaise with people at all levels both internally and externally.  The ability to gain the cooperation of other people to complete tasks and projects and to create a positive first impression when meeting people. Comments from applicant:</p><p>Respect – Excellence – Passion 2 KSC 3: High Level Organisational skills  Ability to manage numerous processes within specified time frames and with superior attention to detail.  The ability to attract and promote high quality functions and performances for the Ararat Performing Arts Centre and associated outreach centres. Comments from applicant:</p><p>KSC 4: Initiative  The ability to show initiative and to think outside the box in an environment that is highly monitored.  Able to promote new ways of thinking and encourage continuous improvement amongst your team.  The proven ability to research and explore creative options to solve problems and to create new opportunities for the centre.
