<p>The EL Civics topics used at Tacoma Community College are outlined below. These topics are from the English for All program developed by the Tech21 Project, funded by the US Office of Vocational and Adult Education. This program has been used throughout the school year, presenting one module per week, beginning in October, 2002 and concluding in April, 2003.</p><p>1. Jobs and Career Advancement Finding a job using job agencies, classified ads, etc. Job promotion </p><p>2. On the Job Health and Safety Job safety rules and regulations </p><p>3. Support Systems for Injured Workers Rights and responsibilities in the workplace</p><p>4. Supervisors and Teamwork The role of supervisors The importance of teamwork</p><p>5. Using Information Services Finding government and community services dealing with housing discrimination How to file complaints with HUD</p><p>7.
