(For example, a student absent 2 days would have 2 days to make-up the work.) Students are responsible for checking the blog for missed assignments or notes. A student with an unexcused absence may ask for assignments and may choose to complete them in order to keep up with the class. However, the teacher is under no obligation to grade the work.

HOMEWORK POLICY:

Homework is a very important part of a student’s education and is necessary for students reach their full potential. Students should expect to have homework assignments every night and it will be graded for completion and accuracy periodically. At the end of each unit I will put a cumulative homework grade into the grade book.

MAKE-UP POLICY:

Make-ups tests are done before school on Tuesday 7:15 to 8:15 or Thursday after school 3:30 to 4:25 in an assigned room (can be found on the math department door). Students who are in ISS when a test or quiz is scheduled are expected to take the assessment while in ISS.

LATE WORK POLICY:

Late work will not be accepted. LASSITER HIGH SCHOOL GAINES 2014-2015

TARDY POLICY:

To avoid being counted tardy, students must be seated and ready for class when the bell rings. If you are tardy for any reason, you must check in on the LAS in PPO or the administrative office by the cafeteria.

EXTRA HELP:

This is intended for those students who are working hard in class and attempting to do homework. If you will let me know in advance of your intention to come in ahead of time, I can inform you about meetings or conferences that might cause a conflict. (Additional help will be available during 4th and 7th period)

ACADEMIC INTEGRITY:

Cheating is considered a serious matter.
