<p> MAST SAFE WORK PROCEDURE</p><p>Division: Analysis By: Date: Oct/12/2007</p><p>Department: Supervisor: Frequency: Hourly</p><p>Job Title: Carpentry Approved By: JSA Number:</p><p>Job Title: Wood Turning Lathe Job Performed By: Teacher and or students</p><p>REQUIRED PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: CSA approved safety glasses and or face-shield, CSA approved steel-toed shoes/boots, dust mask when sanding, hearing protection.</p><p>GENERAL NOTES: No lighters, matches or cell phones are allowed in the shop area. Long necklaces and or bracelets should be removed. Long hair should be tied back; strings hanging from pullovers/sweaters should be removed.</p><p>JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS:</p><p>Step Description Hazard Controls 1 Fastening stock to faceplate; ----Using a compass, mark a circle 1) Personal injury from thrown 1) Use only stock with a flat smooth surface the size of the faceplate and another slightly larger than the-- stock due to improper mounting. and free of cracks or flaws. -- diameter of the turning.
