<p> MORGAN COUNTY SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY MINUTES OF MONTHLY BOARD MEETING MAY 14, 2014</p><p>The meeting was called to order at 4:36 p.m. at St. Mark’s Parish House in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia by Leslie Hotaling, Chair. Present were Morgan County Solid Waste Authority were board members: Glenn Horr, Adam Keeling & Judy Fisher. JR Timmons, Center Manager was present. Ellen Smith, Coordinator, took minutes of the meeting. The meeting was not taped.</p><p>The minutes of April 9, 2014 meeting were examined. Motion to accept: Glenn Horr, Second: Judy Fisher; Approved: Unanimous.</p><p>There was a discussion of April financial statements. Motion to accept statements: Adam Keeling; Second: Judy Fisher; Accepted: Unanimous.</p><p>Center Manager's report</p><p>JR reported that available community workers had fallen off due to Randy pulling them for road sign work. Also, there is a broken trailer door. </p><p>Chair’s report</p><p>Chair approved that Brenda Timmons can continue to work on Mondays at the Center. Discussion of having Rick Hoffman measure for safety bars and for a cattle gate at the trailers. Chair saw Pete Gordon. He's committed to joining our board. Master Gardeners will be hosting a lunch, June 24th, at the Center before they start work on the Charles Biggs memorial garden. Chair will invite Margaret Biggs to join us. Discussion of purchasing a Trex bench for the garden and personalizing a plaque for the bench.</p><p>Coordinator’s report </p><p>Coordinator will request a proposal from Rick for the safety fencing at the Center. Coordinator will contact Jeremy Farris for a start date for the footers.</p><p>Action List</p><p>Do we need a spillover trailer for cardboard? Ongoing discussion of paving at the Center. Glenn wants to pursue a price for permeable pavers.</p><p>Old Business</p><p>Glenn will repost the truck and trailer on Craigslist.</p><p>Adjournment</p><p>Motion to adjourn: Judy Fisher; Second: Glenn Horr.
