Definition and Critical Attributes/Rules *Walk directly to bus or car *Keep hands, feet, and objects to self *Car riders go directly to designated area *Bus riders go directly to bus *Bring all needed materials (books, homework, notes) *Stay on bus or in car</p><p>3. Non-Examples Go to cubby or locker and get things needed Leave things in cubby or locker and have to go Use inside voice if talking is necessary back Walk to correct bus line or car line Talk loudly Sit in designated area if waiting is necessary and Run to bus or car area, slip, and fall wait until bus number is called Be up on floor instead of sitting to wait Push and shove getting in line and sitting 4. Activities to Enhance Skill Development Using cooperative learning structure “Numbered Heads Together” to brainstorm a list of things done at the end of each day when getting ready to go home. List the ideas on the board. Lead students to list items needed to take home: homework, planner, books, etc. Discuss the procedure in getting everything out of cubby, locker, desk, etc. Discuss that these things go into backpacks.</p><p>5. Activities to Check for Understanding Role play Tell me, Show me Tell a friend, Show a friend Play Charades-what rule/behavior expectation is being demonstrated??</p><p>6. Activities to Extend Skill Development Develop a T-chart for the way dismissal/bus loading looks and sounds when the rules are being followed-use words and pictures of students demonstrating desired behaviors. Develop videos to demonstrate rules/behavior expectations</p><p>7.
