It’s not fair!</p><p>We experience a demand for fairness </p><p>Insisting on justice in the here and now at all times </p><p>Sources of this thinking: </p><p>- Having been powerless, or even victimized</p><p>Externalization: Somebody fix this</p><p>- Having been rescued from suffering—enabled</p><p>- The Just World Theory: life should be fair </p><p>Job: Why do bad things happen to good people? Then the LORD said to Job, “Do you still want to argue with the Almighty? You are The problem: We judge God God’s critic, but do you have the answers?” —Job 40:1-2 The solution: Let God be God</p><p>II. Tips</p><p>1. Remember that God gave up fairness for us For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God God’s model is “I’ve got to solve the problem” —1 Peter 3:18</p><p>2. For one week, record every time you got away with something </p><p>And aren’t you glad that that’s not fair? </p><p>3.
