<p> Staff Search & Hire Process Checklist</p><p> Secure Budgetary Approval for Position (required for all positions except Student Workers e.g. STUWK, GRA, GTA)</p><p> o CAES Request To Fill Form (have job description with duties/responsibilities ready)</p><p> Recruitment & Selection</p><p> o Adopt proactive steps to recruit historically underrepresented candidates</p><p> o Prepare & Submit iPAWS Action</p><p>. Conduct interviews (use BEI - Behavioral Event Interview questions) and reference checks </p><p> o Choose candidate and draft a Staff Offer Letter – choose based on internal/external applicant type </p><p> o Make offer & receive signed Staff Offer Letter along with signed Consent for Background Investigation form</p><p> o Submit Hiring Proposal in iPAWS with signed Consent for Background Investigation form attached under Supplemental Documentation **If the desired salary to offer a candidate is above the annual entry maximum, a Request for Salary Action must be completed and attached under Supplemental Documentation</p><p> o Await “All Approvals Obtained” email from UGA HR and then designate position as ‘Filled’ in iPAWS</p><p> Fiscal Action</p><p> o Initiate Personnel Action (employee will receive UGA Onboarding email invitation a day or two after initiation)</p><p> Onboarding & Orientation</p><p> o Supervisor requests MyID via “Request a MyID”.
