<p> Job Type : employment_specialist</p><p>Job Title : Business Development Consultant</p><p>Business Development Consultant</p><p>1. Purpose: To assist entrepreneurial-oriented people with disabilities achieve their small business development or home-based employment goals.</p><p>2. Reports To: Director of Program Services</p><p>3. Essential Functions:</p><p>•Develop, implement and evaluate home-based employment program.</p><p>•Develop, implement, evaluate and advocate for the small business development services program.</p><p>•Implement the goals and objectives of the ______grant. </p><p>•Provide support and direction for the utilization and growth of the micro-loan fund program. </p><p>•Provide information and referral services relating to small business development or home-based employment options.</p><p>•Guide the development and implementation of a CIL business plan which includes resource development, marketing and grant seeking activities.</p><p>•Participate on the Business and Employment Team with varying responsibilities as determined by the Team.</p><p>•Complete all reports including, but not limited to: timesheets, vacation, sick leave, compensation time, leave of absence requests, activity reports and grant applications by their respective due dates. </p><p>•Complete and maintain all Consumer Services Records in compliance with the Federal Quality Assurance Standards and Indicators.</p><p>•Travel required within the state. •Perform other duties as assigned.</p><p>4. Behavioral Requirements</p><p>•Model integrity, personal and professional ethics and maintain confidential consumer information.</p><p>•Demonstrate resourcefulness, initiative and follow through as required for the effective delivery of CIL services.</p><p>•Model team work by effectively working in a collaborative manner through strong individual contribution and commitment.</p><p>•Maintain a positive working relationship with consumers, co-workers, referral sources and others to encourage positive referral relationships.</p><p>•Actively participate in the delivery of services and/or the implementation of public relations, special events, marketing, and fundraising activities, as requested.</p><p>•Enhance the image of the CIL in person, by telephone and in written communication. </p><p>5. Qualifications</p><p>•Personal experience with disability and /or knowledge of disability issues and the consumer/community based IL philosophy.</p><p>•Excellent communication skills.</p><p>•Good computer and word processing skills.</p><p>•Organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks, prioritize work effectively and use judgment and discretion in decision-making.</p><p>•Commitment to and ability for continuous improvement and mastery of the relevant body of knowledge related to this position.</p><p>•Bachelors Degree required. Three or more years personal experience in owning or operating a small business preferred.
