Thrumpton. At T junction turn left, after approximately 500 yds. We will meet in lay-by, before phone box to leave at 9.00am. We have to be in and set up by 0930amSun 27th April Long Eaton Cars & SteamMeet at the Eaton Farm Pub car park (next to the M1 Motorway) at the island between Derby Road A6005 & Wilsthorpe Road B6002 to leave at 9.30am. The show ground is only a few minutes away off Wilsthorpe Road. Opens to the public at 10.00am.Sat 3rd May Frank and Judi Garden PartyMeet at the Fradley Arms pub car park on the A38 to leave at 01.30pm and arrive at Frank and Judi house for 2.00pm. For those who wish to go it alone the directions to Frank & Judi’s are as follows. From the A38 southbound, exit to Lichfield (just past the boat yard on the left). Follow the road through Streethay to Trent Valley (Station on the left and the Trent Valley Pub on the right). At roundabout turn right (last exit) onto Eastern Avenue. Follow this for about 3 miles until you see a T junction with traffic lights. Just before the Major junction turn left into Stratford Road. Follow down hill straight on at the mini roundabout (Morrisons on the right). Up hill past the Feathers Pub and Beacon Street Garage on the left. At the next junction (Little Barrow Hotel) Turn left into Anson Avenue. Follow this to a mini roundabout and turn right into Beecroft. Follow road to the first T junction on the left and turn into Vale Close House No 2. To arrive at Elaine & Pauls House at 1.30pm approx. Directions to castle square are as follows. Approach from East Midlands Airport on the A453 turn right at Isley Walton past Donnington park racing circuit on the right continue on to Melbourne. Enter the village past The Paddock public house on the left you are now on Station Road. On the approach to a triangle junction on the left turn immediately left onto Castle Street. Interesting cars & vehicles, Bric- a-brac stall, Raffle and Good Food. BBQ is outside but you will need to book lunch in the pub if required in advance. To reserve your tables for lunch at the Jockey tel: 01543 262924 Directions: A38 past Alrewas & Fradley, turn off the A38 at Streethay left onto A5127 and go under the A38, this is Burton Road which leads onto Trent Valley Road. At the first island turn left onto A5192 Cappers Lane. Under the railway bridge next island turn right onto Ryknild Street, past the CO-OP continue to the end of the road. At the traffic lights ‘T’ junction turn left onto the A51 Tamworth Road, continue over the A38 bridge & the Horse & Jockey is on the left. (Distance approx 80 miles from J24 M1) Directions from M1 J14 are as follows. Leave the M1 J14 West onto A4146 (A5) Stay on the A4146 over several islands Bletchley is signposted. Continue over the junction with the (A5) on Blectcham Way at the next major island turn left onto B4034 Saxon Street. Stay on the B4034 over three islands leading onto Buckingham Road take the second right into Church Green Road and the first right into Wilton Avenue the Station Car park is on the right. Opens to the public at 10.00am. Sun 27th July Treasure Hunt A PearceStart at the Little Chef / Forte Travel Lodge car park at the junction between the A38/A61 at the Alfreton / Chesterfield turn off. We will aim to set the first car off at 10.00 am. The treasure hunt will be around 20/25 miles and with tea shop stops and a pub stop at the end for food, but people can bring a picnic.Sun 3rd August Mallory Park Formula 750 Motor Club RacingMeet at the McDonalds car park at the junction between the A511 / M42 J13 island, to leave for 08.30am. There is ample picnic area outside. A38 past Alrewas & Fradley, turn off the A38 at Streethay left onto A5127 and go under the A38, this is Burton Road which leads onto Trent Valley Road and then Birmingham Road Stay on the A5127 past the railway station and fire station, as you approach the large island you will need to be in the left hand lane to access the Bowling Green Pub Car park. Opens to the public at 10.00am.Sun 10th August On Your Marks BruntingthorpeMeet at E J Ward Car Park Stag Specialists at Bruntingthorpe LE17 5RD to Leave at 9.00am. (The show and attractions start at 9.30am). It is approximately 30 minutes from J20 on the M1. Instructions from the M1 are as follows. Leave the M1 art J20 turn onto the A4304 towards Husbands Bosworth. At the staggered cross roads at North Kilworth turn Left onto the B5414. Continue the B5414 joins the A5199 ‘Y’ junction, continue north on the A5199 at the Shearsby cross roads turn left onto Brubtingthorpe Road (which leads on to Bath Lane and the entrance to the show) after approx 1 mile turn left onto Walton New Road after ¼ of a mile turn right into Walton New Road Business Park. EJ Ward is unit 8a lots of stags about in bits. For those who wish to go it alone the directions given by Liz & Tony are as follows.A1/A614/A57 island take 3rd exit & go over bridge & take B6420 Retford. Over rail X ing to staggered X roads, go straight over. Over narrow canal bridge, beware no view. Over rail X ing. X roads straight on.( Watch for traffic from left as they approach fast.) Drive thro Sutton- Cum-Lound, untill you come to the Gate Pub on right. Turn right past the front of pub. Follow road, watch out as road narrows and quite a few sharp bends. About 1/2 mile & come into Lound village. Road narrows on entering village. Pass Village Hall on left & our house is one down on opposite side of road, No. 77. House faces end on to road. Shackerstone village is near Little Twycross just off the A444 towards Congerstone. Turn off the A444 towards Bilstone, at the next junction turn right & then left onto Bilstons Road. Take the second left through Congerstone village and at fork bear roght onto Barton Lane.
