<p>Job Description & Person Specification</p><p>Job Title Talent Match Project Manager</p><p>Contract: Fixed Term till end December 2018</p><p>Location: The Project will operate in Essex, Kent and East Sussex so the successful candidate will need to be in a location that can access all 3 easily, for example South East or East London. Company No 1619253 Our approach to responsible business provides a clear framework to support and challenge business to improve its performance and benefit society through our four areas of expertise – community, environment, workplace and marketplace.</p><p>Talent Match </p><p>The Area South team is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the Talent Match pilot programme until the end of 2018. </p><p>The Talent Match project is a national programme which aims to increase the employability prospects of 18-24 year-olds. This role is to manage the project in Essex, Kent & East Sussex, specifically the Employer Network component. The project is funded by a grant from the Big Lottery. </p><p>More information about Talent Match can be found HERE</p><p>Purpose of Job</p><p>This exciting role will help deliver and shape a project which will significantly increase the organisation’s reach into areas of greatest need across the UK.</p><p>Main Responsibilities / Accountabilities</p><p>The Talent Match Project Manager will be responsible for the successful operation of the Talent Match project including:</p><p> o Operational responsibility for the employer network across Essex, Kent and East Sussex. o Responsibility for BITC’s relationship with project partners (particularly the Prince’s Trust, who are managing the programme and Groundwork who are potential sub-contractors) and ensuring effective management of the delivery. o Responsible for co-ordination of delivery and information capture relating to the grant BITC will receive. o Responsible for all documentation and co-ordination of financial management alongside the Area Finance Manager and the Prince’s Trust Talent Match Manager.</p><p> Collating learning to inform development of Talent Match nationally – including relationships with other areas of BITC.</p><p> Day-to-day project management of any programme staff and contracts.</p><p> Managing an employer network in each of three counties and an overall champion’s network.</p><p> Manage and facilitate the 3 local employer networks and one employer champion group. Through these networks:</p><p> o Generate 2,125 work placements and work tasters;</p><p>Job Description & Person Specification Page 2 of 7 o Support the target of progressing 850 young people in to jobs; </p><p> o Involve and support young people to have an active role in identifying and recruiting suitable employers to the Groups.</p><p> o Create the ‘business case’ for the programme to employers who are potentially able to support the project, including producing case studies and media stories, and develop effective managing and reporting of the Network.</p><p> o Run 'Seeing Is Believing' visits in each locality, which are visits to businesses to encourage them to become involved in Talent Match</p><p> o Explore and encourage long-term solutions to address the travel barrier for unemployed young people, including involving private sector travel companies</p><p>Other  Ensure that health and safety requirements are met in the areas for which the jobholder is responsible.  The post holder may be required to carry out other duties that are reasonably to be considered as within the scope and purpose of the job and the aptitudes of the job holder.</p><p>This job description reflects the current requirements of the post.
