1. Open a Microsoft Word Document That Has Text

<p>Window-Eyes #3 Selecting Text</p><p>Skill or Command: </p><p>Use control + a to select all. Hold shift with arrows to select text. Select from cursor to end of sentence with shift + END. Use shift + HOME to select from cursor to sentence beginning. Control + shift + m will cause Window-Eyes to read selected text.</p><p>What does it do?</p><p>With the commands for highlighting text, text can be selected. Text can then be moved around or deleted as necessary when editing documents. Control + shift + m will allow students to double check that they have selected the text they want to work with.</p><p>Try It:</p><p>1. Open a Microsoft Word document that has text.</p><p>2. Use the commands listed for selecting text. 3. Instruct students to select specified text in the document.</p><p>4. Students can determine if the correct text was selected by using control + shift + m. The selected text will be read by Window-Eyes.</p><p>5.
