CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT STATEMENT</p><p>Objective:</p><p>Using TPS’s techniques, management methods and philosophy Monclova inflator department will learn best manufacturing practices through creating a model line and spraying the results to the other lines.</p><p>Results will be defined as improvements from the initial condition in term of: - Labor efficiency - Operational availability - Quality - Manufacturing lead-time (batch size) - Organizational learning (intangible measure) </p><p>Team membership:</p><p>Function Name Responsibility Backup TPS Leader - Provide resources needed to the team - - Make sure people are learning as TPS is growing - Learn with the team - Be a role model (Learning & cooperation) TPS Expert - Responsible implementing and - coordinating TPS activities - Responsible for becoming TPS expert Facilitator - Provides hands-on expertise and - direction to team Team Member: - Pro-active learning - - Prioritize schedule with TPS in mind - Take responsibility for results - Document learning Team Member: - Pro-active learning - - Prioritize schedule with TPS in mind - Take responsibility for results - Document learning Team Member: - Pro-active learning - Prioritize schedule with TPS in mind - Take responsibility for results - Document learning Team Member: - Pro-active learning - - Prioritize schedule with TPS in mind - Take responsibility for results - Document learning Team Member: - Pro-active learning - - Prioritize schedule with TPS in mind - Take responsibility for results - Document learning Optional Members: - Responsible for own learning and - participation in the team.</p><p>TPS hours:</p><p>1 week per months plus follow-up on action items. Regular TPS hours for the team are as defined below.</p><p>Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8:30am – 12:30pm, 1:00pm – 5:30pm</p><p>Friday, 8:00am - 10:30am</p><p>However, hours of TPS activity may be changed as required to align to shift break and schedules (night and swing).</p><p>For monthly schedule contact, Alejandra De La Cerda (6555)</p><p>TPS Team Ground Rules:</p><p> Think aggressively  Full pro-active involvement  Stick to the defined schedule  TPS Team member must have a back-up defined while in TPS  When in TPS, member are not to be disturbed unless emergency defined as: o Safety related event (work or outside of work) o Line is stopped o Bad quality being passed to next process (customer)  Ok to push and challenge each other  Willing to work and implement on all shifts  Document results  Build personal know-how</p>
