<p> Appendix 1-4 Board’s Requirements For Vending Services</p><p>1. One snack vending machine </p><p>80% of snacks meeting the “healthy” criteria listed below. No more than 35% calories from fat (nuts exempt from fat restriction) Contains no more than 10% saturated fat Contains zero grams of trans fat Have no more than 400mg of sodium Contains no more than 35% sugar by weight</p><p>20% of snacks will be exempt from all criteria except for trans fat limitation.</p><p>2. One bottled soft drink beverage machine consisting of Pepsi and Coke products 100% juice products Sports drinks and diet soda with no more than 100 calories Bottled water 12oz serving size (except water)</p><p>3. Monitoring vending selections: The successful proposer will utilize the vending machine requirements to evaluate snacks and beverages. A Board of Health representative will monitor the contents of the vending machines and notify the successful proposer if a vending machine item does not meet designated guidelines. At that time, the successful proposer must switch the products with snacks that meet the healthy criteria stated above.</p><p>4. The Board of Health shall receive zero percent of the proceeds derived from the operation of the vending machines.</p>
