<p> CHL Eligibility Requirements</p><p>Below are the facts about the concealed handgun cost and the eligibility requirements to be licensed in the state of Texas. </p><p>1) You must be 21 years of age or older.</p><p>2) You must be a resident of Texas. (A resident has to live in Texas for period of 6 months preceding the date of application for a residents concealed handgun licenses.) (Texas does offer non-resident licenses. For information on this please contact Joslin Training.)</p><p>3) You may complete a Concealed Handgun Licenses class within the 6 months period to your application. </p><p>4) You cannot be a convicted of a felony. (Contact Joslin Training for exemptions) </p><p>5) You cannot be currently charged with the commission of a felony. i) (Class A or B misdemeanor or disorderly conduct.)</p><p>6) You cannot be convicted of a class A or B misdemeanor or disorderly conduct for five years prior to applying for a CHL. i) (Contact Joslin Training for information on background checks) </p><p>7) You must be fully qualified under federal and state law to purchase a handgun.</p><p>8) You cannot be delinquent in child support. </p><p>9) You cannot have defaulted on an education loan. </p><p>10)You cannot be under a protective or restraining order. </p><p>11) When completing the CHL Class you must obtain two sets of fingerprints and two-passport photo’s. (PASS PORT PHOTO’S PROVIDED FREE TO ALL STUDENTS, NON-STUDENTS $10.00) </p>
