<p> CHINESE IV (SECONDARY)</p><p>SELECTIVE UNIT 4 (S04)</p><p>(The Four Treasures of the Study& Chinese Culture) (July 2015)</p><p>Unit Statement: The student will learn what the four treasures of the study is. He/she will know origin about the four treasures of the study, can describe names and how to use of each treasure. Learn to appreciate Chinese calligraphic art.</p><p>Essential Outcomes: (must be assessed for mastery)</p><p>1. The Student Will read and write key words related to the four treasures of the study. (Interpretive reading and presentational writing)</p><p>2. TSW read words on the traditional books, antithetical couplet, and horizontal inscribed board. (Interpretive reading)</p><p>3. TSW Practice write Chinese character on the paper with writing brush. (Presentational writing)</p><p>4. TSW describe the places where they can see the Chinese calligraphic art. (Presentational speaking)</p><p>5. TSW use writing brush, ink stick, inks tone and paper practice write character with the idiom. (Presentational writing)</p><p>6. TSW self-select and read level- appropriate literature independently for at least 60minuts per week.(Interpretive reading)</p><p>Introduced /Practiced Outcomes: </p><p>1. The Student Will name with brush, ink stick, inks tone and paper. (Presentational speaking)</p><p>2. TSW display their own Chinese calligraphic art. (Presentational writing and speaking)</p><p>3. TSW draw a picture and write about the four treasures of the study on the post.
