Baskin-Robbins is kicking off summer early with a special 31 Cent Scoop Night celebration on April 30, 2007. During the event, ice cream lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy their favorite Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavor for only 31 cents while paying tribute to local heroes.</p><p>America’s favorite ice cream store is partnering with the National Fallen Firefighters foundation (NFFF), an organization that honors America’s fallen fire heroes and their families. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is a tax-exempt, nonprofit institution, established by Congress in 1992, that leads a nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters and assist their families and coworkers. In 2004, it established the Everyone Goes Home Program to help prevent firefighter line-of-duty deaths.</p><p>In celebration of 31 Cent Scoop Night, Baskin-Robbins will honor fire fighting heroes by making a $100,000 donation to the worthy organization. Since 1992, NFFF has developed and expanded programs to honor fallen fire heroes and assist their families and coworkers.
