Upstream – the direction taken when you try to go against the natural flow of a river</p><p>10.Delta – the area of land, formed by silt and sand, which collects at the mouth of a river</p><p>11.Harbour – a sheltered body of water used by ships for protection</p><p>12.Bay/Gulf – a wide arm of the ocean or sea extending into the land</p><p>13.Strait – a narrow channel of water connecting two larger bodies of water</p><p>14.Sea or Ocean – a large body of salt water</p><p>15.Lake – a large body of usually fresh water surrounded by land</p><p>16.Mountains – an area of very high and rugged land. The older mountain ranges have been worn away over millions of years, therefore, the younger a range the higher its peaks.</p><p>17.Valley – the low land between hills or mountains.
