<p> Week 3 Theme: Community Building, Getting to Know You Functions:  Manage Conversations & Participate in Discussion  Seek Information and Clarification  Describe Sensory Details.</p><p>Objectives/ Language Uses:  Students will be able to use social courtesies to introduce each other.  Students will be able to ask a question to seek personal information.  Students will be able to describe a person – a friend </p><p>Materials:</p><p>Monday  Objective: Students will be able to use social courtesies to introduce each other. Topic Specific Vocabulary: names. introduce Grammatical Forms: Auxiliary verbs, subject pronouns, possessive pronouns Prompts: Introduce yourself and a friend Responses: I would like… I would like you to meet… She is…</p><p>I do it: Teacher will role play social courtesies by introducing a “new” student. (Bring your dress up box!)</p><p>We do it: Partner activity – Students will introduce their partner (Pg 7, Moving into English, blue)</p><p>You do it: Students will read greetings (farewells, g 9), cut them out and put them in order. </p><p>Tuesday Objective: Students will be able to ask a question to seek personal information. Topic Specific Vocabulary: Questions words Grammatical Forms: Formulating Questions Prompts: Find out about your neighbor Responses: Pg. 3B.17, pattern for student discussion</p><p>I do it: Teacher models All about me book (pg. 11a12, Blue book)</p><p>We/You do it: Students create their own book and share information it with a partner. </p><p>Wednesday Objective: Students will be able to ask a question to seek personal information. Topic Specific Vocabulary: Questions words Grammatical Forms: Formulating Questions Prompts: Find out about your neighbor Responses: Pg. 3B.17, pattern for student discussion</p><p>We / You do it: Students will interview classmates using questions on pg 13, blue book, Moving into English. </p><p>Thursday  Objective: Students will be able to describe a person – a friend Topic Specific Vocabulary: Grammatical Forms: Possessive Pronouns Prompts: Introduce your friend. Tell us 3 things about him/her Responses: I would like you do meet_____. He/She is ______.</p><p>I do it: Teacher models the following</p><p>We/You do it: Using interview questions fromo yesterday, students will introduce classmate and say 3 things about him or her. </p><p>Extension: ESI HQ game.</p>
