<p> Native Studies 20 – Research Project</p><p>INSTRUCTIONS</p><p>You will be completing a research project based on one of the following topics:</p><p>TOPICS</p><p> Lubicon Cree Nation  Issues of East Timor  The South African Apartheid</p><p>You will choose one of the topics and complete research for each topic.</p><p>Your research must explain the following:</p><p> What is the issue?  Timeline of events.  Major “Players” – major people involved.  Where does this issue stand today?  How do each of the themes we’ve talked about in class pertain to your topic. . Identity . Self-Determination . Development . Social Justice</p><p>ASSESSMENT</p><p>I will use the attached “Research Project” Rubric to assess your project.</p><p>PRESENTATION</p><p>You will present your findings to me in a written report.
