INSTRUCTIONS

You will be completing a research project based on one of the following topics:

TOPICS

 Lubicon Cree Nation  Issues of East Timor  The South African Apartheid

You will choose one of the topics and complete research for each topic.

Your research must explain the following:

 What is the issue?  Timeline of events.  Major “Players” – major people involved.  Where does this issue stand today?  How do each of the themes we’ve talked about in class pertain to your topic. . Identity . Self-Determination . Development . Social Justice

ASSESSMENT

I will use the attached “Research Project” Rubric to assess your project.

PRESENTATION

You will present your findings to me in a written report. You will also provide your classmates a STUDY SHEET so they will have all the basic information on your topic.
