<p> ROCKY MOUNTAIN YOUTH CORPS FINANCE COORDINATOR POSITION DESCRIPTION</p><p>The Rocky Mountain Youth Corps (RMYC), located in Taos and Albuquerque NM, is a nonprofit work and education organization serving northern New Mexico. Corpsmembers are aged 16 to 25 and represent a variety of socioeconomic and cultural groups.</p><p>Position Type: Year round, full time, 8am-5pm M-F, with additional time as required by Corps activities. Salary: Non-exempt, hourly, $14.00 - $17.00 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits: All benefits as provided for in RMYC staff manual, after 60-day probationary period. Reports to: Finance Director</p><p>MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES  Process payroll for all staff and corpsmembers, including all time input, paycheck generation, and distribution.  Calculate and pay all payroll tax filings and other payroll liabilities.  Process all RMYC accounts payable for payment.  Assist Finance Director with month-end closings and general accounting activities.  Assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain staff manual.  Benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, timely payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.  Responsible for ensuring all employee personnel files are compliant and up-to-date.</p><p>OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES 1* Maintain AmeriCorps member enrollment data in online systems. 2* Maintain vendor and master files in QuickBooks. 3* Provide backup support for Finance Director. 4* Complete all paperwork with accuracy and efficiency. 5* Participate in RMYC group activities. 6* Other duties as assigned.</p><p>MINIMUM SKILLS REQUIRED 7* Accounting or bookkeeping skills; must be detail-oriented and a critical thinker. 8* Knowledge of and experience in payroll procedures in an organization with a high volume of payroll transactions; knowledge and experience with payroll tax filings. 9* Knowledge of labor law including FLSA, Workers Compensation, Disability, and record retention requirements. 10* High competency with accounting software (QuickBooks), spreadsheets, databases, data extraction, and Microsoft Office products. 11* Ability to meet deadlines.</p><p>EDUCATION: College or vocational or technical training in related field preferred.
