<p> State Math Testing: 2010-2011 School Year</p><p>The state is implementing new math testing for the 2010-2011 school year. These new tests are in addition to the new Measurement of Student Progress in grades 7 and 8. The following list describes these new tests:</p><p> End-of-Course Algebra (or Integrated 1 for some districts) o Participation: All students 7-12 who are enrolled in Algebra or Applied Algebra are required to take this new state test. o Graduation Requirement: Students in the class of 2013 and beyond must pass this test to meet state graduation requirements (or pass an alternative option available after taking this test at least once) o Timing: The test is designed to be taken in their Algebra class period for 2.5 periods in June. The exact days will be according a to a district created schedule (dates not yet determined). o Results: Results will not be available until late summer 2011 at the earliest.</p><p> End-of-Course Geometry (or Integrated 2 for some districts) o Participation: All students 7-12 who are enrolled in Geometry or Applied Geometry are required to take this new state test. o Graduation Requirement: Students in the class of 2013 and beyond must pass this test to meet state graduation requirements (or pass an alternative option available after taking this test at least once) o Timing: The test is designed to be taken in their Geometry class period for 2.5 periods in June. Passed state  Take SAT and earn 470 on Math (see counselor for forms) math  Take ACT and earn 19 on Math (see counselor for forms) assessment  Pass either End-of-Course Algebra OR End-of-Course Geometry (results not available until following year) 3.0 credits in High  Pass either State Algebra Make-Up OR Geometry Make-Up Tests School Math (results not available until following year  2.0 from a  AP Calc / AP Stats exam with score of 3 or higher minimum of  Pass SPED alternative assessment Algebra and Already passed one of the following: Geometry  HS Math WASL or HSPE Math  1.0 math  CAA-Options (validated at OSPI): elective o SAT Math 470, ACT Math 19, AP Calc or Stats >3, WASL-Grade Comparison  SPED Alternative o DAPE Math, WAAS-PORT  Confirmed Out-of-State Waiver in Math </p>
