<p>TITLE: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT PLACEMENT – HOME BAKING</p><p>REPORTING TO: R&D TECHNOLOGIST</p><p>LOCATION: OFFICE BASED, LEEDS</p><p>JOB DESCRIPTION</p><p>PURPOSE OF ROLE</p><p>A great opportunity within the Research & Development team of Dr. Oetker Ambient to develop a strong skill base and solid experience with a fast growing and dynamic company.</p><p>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES</p><p> Developing products from concept to launch in both Retail and Foodservice markets.  Execute sensory evaluation tests and analyse results.  To manage and analyse product performance over shelf life.  Responsible for application testing of products and usage instructions.  Preparing samples for internal and external presentations.  Preparing samples for project work around new business opportunities.  Responsible for daily running of the development kitchen.  Covering reception once a week to relieve receptionist at lunch.  Liaise with suppliers on specific project work.  Attend Product development meetings and update on projects responsible for.  Visit external suppliers to further knowledge of food industry and manufacture.  Attend trade exhibitions relevant to the company.  Supporting customer care line queries.  Assisting the development team as and when necessary to meet the demands of the business. - 2 -</p><p>PERSON SPECIFICATION</p><p>ESSENTIAL Education  Currently studying for a degree in Food Science or equivalent</p><p>Work Experience  Practical knowledge of baking  Understanding of basic nutrition</p><p>Abilities  Evidence of ability to innovate and contribute new ideas relevant to the business.  Excellent communication and organisational skills.  Good presentation skills verbal and written.  Strong computer skills and ability to process and analyse data.</p><p>Personality  Strong team player who is self-motivated and enthusiastic.  Professional attitude in the work environment.</p><p>COMPETANCIES ESSENTIAL Create Solutions  Understand basic customer needs  Support the creation of solutions to fulfil the expectations of your clients  Regularly monitor the quality of your work  Learn from mistakes</p><p>Focus on Sustainable Success  Maintain patience and demonstrate persistency in your work  Understand the contribution of your activities to sustainable success and brand image and modify your activities accordingly  Understand and value the Dr. Oetker brand</p><p>Strive for results  Understand objectives of your work area, organise your work and seek to achieve best results  Proactively identify what needs to be done, take ownership and appropriate actions  Seek for and use feedback to improve yourself</p><p>Grow within a team  Establish working relationships with colleagues in your work area  Actively integrate yourself into the team  Appreciate different points of view and value team success above your individual achievements</p>
