You need to fill out an application form. A staff member will interview you. They have certain rules. If you are adopting a cat you must agree to keep it indoors. They may want some dogs to be placed in a house rather than an apartment because they like to bark a lot. When adopting a kitten or puppy you must agree to bring it in to be spayed or neutered when the animal is mature enough. Birds are available for adoption as well. A donation is welcomed when adopting a pet.

Adoption Clinics:

Toronto Humane Society 11 River Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5A 4C2 Phone: (416) 392-2273 Hours: 11am to 7pm.
