<p> Midday Meals Supervisor Job Description</p><p>Post: Midday Meals Supervisor </p><p>Responsible to: Headteacher </p><p>Liaison with: Headteacher, School Staff and Pupils </p><p>Function: To deal with all aspects of the supervision of children during the midday break to ensure their wellbeing and health and safety.</p><p>Duties and Responsibilities</p><p>The duties will be allocated by the Headteacher and will include: </p><p>1. Responsibility to the Headteacher for the supervision of children throughout the midday break.</p><p>2. Responsibility for setting out dining room chairs in preparation for the first sitting.</p><p>3. Ensuring supervision of the children waiting to enter the dining hall. </p><p>4. Ensuring supervision of the dining hall and preparation for the second sitting.</p><p>5. Supervision of all areas both inside and outside, where the pupils congregate during lunchtime.</p><p>6. Checking to see that all the pupils return to the classroom. </p><p>7. Ensuring that first aid is administered in accordance with the Health and Safety Policy and that accidents and injuries are recorded in accordance with our policy. </p><p>8. Reporting any injuries or behavioural issues to the relevant class teacher at the end of the lunch break. </p><p>9. Supporting and leading pupils during the lunch break to participate in organised games and ensuring that outdoor equipment is available daily.</p><p>10. Liaising with class teachers to provide appropriate indoor activity when the weather prevents children from playing outside.</p><p>11. Working in collaboration with colleagues as part of a small team. </p><p>12. Supporting pupils to resolve disagreement in line with the school code of conduct and expectations of behaviour. </p><p>13. Following the school’s behaviour policy to deal with any poor behaviour. </p><p>14. Carrying out any other reasonable instructions given by the Headteacher.</p><p>June 2017</p>
