<p>Job Description Classteacher </p><p>Responsible to: The Headteacher</p><p>To provide and facilitate learning that enables individuals and groups of pupils to achieve high standards and make good progress; to share and support the Job Purpose corporate responsibility for the well-being, education and discipline of all pupils in the school.</p><p>1. Prepare and teach lessons of a high standard to the pupils assigned to him/her:  following the school’s rubric for teaching and learning and the designated programmes of study (informed by the International Primary Curriculum – IPC);  carry out the necessary assessments;  monitor pupils in accordance with agreed school policies, and;  adhere to the school teachers pay and conditions – STPCD 2011.</p><p>2. Maintain discipline in accordance with school policies and demonstrate good practice in the classes taught.</p><p>Main Duties 3. Contribute to the corporate tasks of development, record keeping, monitoring, evaluation of lessons; and maintenance of materials and resources.</p><p>4. Contribute to the effective implementation of agreed school’s policies.</p><p>5. Work closely with and consult those who are involved in the child’s education and learning to ensure good continuity and progression for academic and social development.</p><p>6.
