She complains that her menses are always painful, heavy, and associated with diarrhea and bloating. Because of her job as a pilot, she often did not take anything for the pain, but now she is getting worried since she and her husband have been unable to conceive a child after attempts >14 months. She is otherwise in excellent health. She notes that her mother and older sister also complained of heavy and painful periods. Please discuss the diagnosis and management of this patient.</p><p>1.
