Late work will not be accepted for any reason. At the end of the semester, one homework assignment will be dropped. There will also be an opportunity to bring in a classroom supply near the start of the semester, which can replace one missing assignment later in the semester. Quizzes Quizzes are usually announced, but I reserve the right to administer unannounced quizzes. In the event that a student is absent on the day of a quiz, there will be an asterisk in the grade book, which does not affect the overall grade. At the end of the semester, if a student has been present for all quizzes, then the lowest quiz grade will be dropped. If you would like to make up a quiz that you missed due to an absence, you may do so only if you take it prior to the following class meeting. For example, if you miss a quiz Monday and the next class meeting is Wednesday, please make arrangements with me to take the quiz on Tuesday before school, at lunch, or after school.

Tests All tests will be announced at least one week in advance. Any test not taken due to absence must be made up when the student returns to school. On test days, feel free to bring a book to read in case you finish the test early.

Tutoring I will hold tutoring daily before school (7:30-7:55) and after school until at least 3:30 PM, unless there is a faculty meeting.
